I would never carry anything I didn't like the look of. For example I really dislike elemental swords so I would never, ever have one on my warrior.

That said, if I had a choice of two, both of which I liked, and one was rarer... I'd be wearing that.

Both for me. I like having rare things, I grow fond or attached to them after a while. So I can dislike the look of something (like I did War FoW) and then start to like it after a while once I feel like getting it. Heck if I didn't want to get things because they were rare, I wouldn't have anything to spend money on.

Good looking to me over rare everytime - my warrior has a purple Greater Highlander Blade and I prefer that to a gold Crystaline or Torment Sword any day (and i could get the rare if I wanted), same with ranger - I like the shadow (or Ivory) bow look the best of the lot.

I prefer looks over rarity. The only ones I'd get purely out of 'need' is the Destroyer weapons for my hall.

crystalline is the most classic example of uglier than balls but wanted because of the prestige in its rarity.

Please calrify for me - are we talking rare meaning gold or rare meaning uncommon?

I prefer nice-looking weapons (with appropriate stats, of course). Doesn't really matter if it's purple or gold, though I'd take a gold over a purple - just looks nice while you mouse-over it.

Some skins only come in gold, I believe - at least, I've never seen a purple GPB or Jade sword.

Some greens have awesome skins - Vengence Seeker, for example, or Grenth's Grasp - that I'll spend hours farming to get while others, like the Factions end-game wands, are strictly 'meh'.

I have a choice to use a Tormented Axe and a Tormented shield or a Kanaxai's Axe and an Exalted Aegis on my warrior. I prefer to use the latter 'cause over time I've not realized just how much I like how a kanaxai axe and an exalted aegis looks when together. The tormented set wasn't all that it was cracked up to be imo and was deadly expensive. T.T

I will take a good looking weapon over a rare one any day. Though I would prefer a good looking rare weapon.

People like stuff based on looks. Most dont care how rare the stuff is if it looks good wear it.

I don't look at myself when playing and I hopes nobody else in the group looks at me either. XD

well my favorite skin in the game is the ele sword.. lol and my favorite armour skin in the game is 15k glads with 15k elite charr hat

but hey i still use droks templar armour on my warrior.. actually 2 of my warriors.. :P

Gotta look good. Personally, I love the look of the Colossal Scimitar, but I think Turai Ossa's sword is actually nicer, even if it's free. I just surf the wiki and choose which skins I like the most, and aim for that, no matter the cost. Text color means nothing, either. My warrior has a collector's Shield of the Lion dyed black. I sold the gold r9 versions for some spending cash.
